ЕВРОПСКА УНИЈА У „ПОТРАЗИˮ ЗА ЛЕГИТИМИТЕТОМ

Сажетак

Европска унија је пројекат без преседана на европском простору а свакако и у међунардоним односима. Један од главних проблема у њеном проучавању био је, и још увек је, утврђивање њене праве природе. За потребе нашег рада прихваћено је одређење Европске уније као функционалног политичког система, али не и државе. У том контексту, предмет овога рада је оцена демократског квалитета Уније, посебно са становишта њеног демократског легитимитета. У првом делу рада дат је приказ различитих схватања природе Европске уније. Други део рада посвећен је проблему „демократског дефицитаˮ и различитим теоријским схватањима тог проблема. Закључни део рада говори о неким предлозима за решавање овог проблема, при чему се констатује да је у тренутној ситуацију уз постојећу уговорну архитектуру Европске уније, овај проблем далеко од решења.
