Сажетак

Нови милениј обележава прелаз из доба глобализације у доба глобалности. У таквом добу појединачне акције, локална трговина и национална политика имају глобални утицај. Да би одговориле изазовима животне средине и развоја, државе су, преко глобалних организација, одлучиле да успоставе ново глобално партнерство. Ово партнерство обавезује све државе на континуиран и конструктиван дијалог. Један од облика партнерства је одрживи развој усмерен према здравој економској политици и управљању, ефикасној и предвидљивој јавној управи и заштити животне средине у доношење одлука и напредак ка демократској влади.
У раду се указује да се капацитет релевантних органа, организација и тела Уједињених нација, међународних и регионалних међувладиних тела, невладиних организација и локалних заједница треба повећати како би се остварили циљеви одрживог развоја, познати и као глобални циљеви јер њихово постизање подразумева глобалне промене са партнерством влада, приватног сектора, цивилног друштва и грађана како би се будућим генерацијама обезбедило боље животно окружење.
