THE FALL OF ORTHODOX ENGLAND: With special reference to the Norman Conquest (1043–1087)

The reader is presented with a monograph by Vladimir Moss (born 1949), a doctor of psychological sciences, translator, professor, who has taught at several universities in England and Bulgaria. Moss graduated (BA) from the Department of Philosophy and Psychology at Trinity College, Oxford University (1970), received his doctorate (Ph.D.) from the Department of Psychology at the University of Surrey (1978), and obtained a Diploma in Russian Language from the University of Surrey (1984). At the University of Sofia, he designed and taught two courses: “Psychology of Personality” and “Religion and Politics”. He also worked at the Orthodox Foundation of St. Michael, in Guildford, with the task of writing a monograph on the Greek Old Calendar Church. He also worked as a researcher at the Department of Psychology at the University of Surrey. He speaks Russian, French, Greek and Latin. He has published over 130 scientific articles on Russian, Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Greek and Serbian topics, and has touched upon numerous issues of theology, psychology and linguistics.

This is an author whose works are not only current and original, but also captivate with their depth of insight into the topics analyzed and treated. This is evidenced by the monograph before the readers, THE FALL OF ORTHODOX ENGLAND, which has an extremely important message – that the overall decline and spiritual crisis of the people in this territory began with the destruction of Orthodoxy, which until the beginning of the 11th century was the spiritual basis for the rise of the people on the islands.
